Snow and bubbles

Our little baby is 5 1/2 months already! She is becoming more and more fun each day and I often think about how amazing it is that we are her parents. I love loving her! There are so many things to catch you up on, so I decided to just give you some highlights from the past two weeks and let you look at our picasa photo album to see pictures of Christmas, etc.

Shiloh's biggest developmental milestone is that she is sitting on her own for a good 10-15 minutes! She started sitting for very short amounts of time right around Christmas, and by her 5 month birthday, she hardly needed assistance anymore! Of course she tends to be wobbly sometimes still, but it's amazing to watch her learn how to control her body and begin to think about scooting (she can go backwards already.....we're not quite ready for this!) Along with sitting, Shiloh is spitting up much less (yay!) and it is evident that she is really starting to develop object permanence. Shiloh's new favorite activities include eating paper and playing with tags. Her taggie blankets are getting lots of good use now!

The following videos remind me of what I do at work. It is so much fun to be able to apply what I do with low-income families at work to my own daughter. I never knew how my job would prepare me so much for being a parent! Okay, now for what you've all been waiting for...watch the videos!
